D&G Stables Summer Horse Show- 8/03 |
"Chili" is an 11 year old, Registered AQHA mare by Impressive Showoff ( So Impressive X Sugar's Show Off),
out of Pondie Leigh (Mr Pondie Zip X Spanish Leigh).
Sorrel, standing 15 hands, with a large blaze and two white socks. Chili is an extremely well bred mare, with
all the foundation names breeders want. Genetic testing results: HYPP= N/N.
Her 5 generation pedigree boasts such names as Impressive, Leo, Zippo Pat Bars, Three Bars,
Lightning Bar and even
Wimpy. With
this incredible pedigree, she is a welcome sign to anyone's breeding program, however this is not the only reason we
chose her. Chili is already becoming an incredibly versatile mare after only a few months working back under saddle. Not only
was she shown competitively in Hunter/Jumper during the summer of 2003, but was also a top Gymkhana horse with some great
runs!
We have bred Chili to the 17.1HH, Jockey Club Thoroughbred (also approved
by the AQHA) stallion "Morden Sunrise" for an early May 2004 Appendix foal. Morden is
by Glorious Sun and out of a Buckpasser
mare. He is owned by the Rogerson's of Oaklawn Farm and certainly has the outstanding size, temperment and
athletism we were looking for! Not to mention the chrome I have my fingers crossed for! This will be her fourth foal, other
offspring reside in Quebec and New Brunswick:
- "Dalton Supreme" 1998 sorrel stallion by Dream On Supreme.
- "Impress So Supreme" 1999 sorrel mare by Dream On Supreme.
- "New Sun Shine" 2002 palomino mare by Boggie Vaquero.
